No sob stories here. This is my situation. I am 35 years old, I have 2 kids my husband passed away about 10 years ago. Since then I've done Ok for myself & my kids without the need of a new partner or a hand me down from the government. I have put myself thru undergradutate school and i am putting myself thru graduate school at the moment. I work full time, study part time and do everything else in between. I've been looking for a second job but no luck so far. I cannot get government help because my income according to them is too high. I DO NOT live above my means. No credit cards, no bills for spa treatments or getting my nails done. The issue is that my landlord raised my rent and I cannot come up with the payment or the money to move out... the rent is $1200.00 it is now almost the end of the month and i don't have any money to pay it. I've had some expenses i was not counting on and i cannot ask any of my friends to lend me money as they are also struggling with their own issues right now. All I want is a loan, I don't want a hand me down, I don't want some charity. I am in the position of making monthly payments if needed but since my credit is less than stellar (had troubles in the past) I cannot go and try to get a conventional loan.
